Public and private entities in the tourism sector are implementing various measures that allow them to serve and guide national and foreign tourists affected by the protests in various regions of the country.
On Friday, December 16, a plane was taken to the region of La Joya (Ariquipa) to take stranded tourists to Lima.
On December 17, 208 tourists were transported by train to the community of Piscacucho, in the region of Ollantaytambo. Upon reaching this point, they transfer you to the buses to leave towards Cusco.
On December 18, two flights were carried out: the first by the army, taking 30 tourists, and the other, in a Navy plane, which packed 45 foreign tourists.
It is important to know that until now all tourists of different nationalities have been transported from Machu Picchu to Cusco.
The work is continuous and multisectoral, which is why the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR), PROMPERÚ and the private sector actively collaborate with initiatives to support tourism in different regions of the country.
