The disastrous and ridiculous elimination of Spain in the World Cup in Qatar is still something to talk about.
Even more so when, on December 8, 2022, the Spanish Football Federation confirmed the resignation of Luis Enrique as the coach of the Spanish national team, whose successor Luis de la Fuente will be on the bench.
In these four years as national coach, Luis Enrique has managed to take Spain to the final of the 2021 Nations League, the semi-finals of Euro 2020, the final of the new Fourth League of Nations and the round of 16 of the World Cup in Qatar.

Always in the spotlight, especially for what is happening around him on the non-sports side, everything points to the fact that Luis Enrique is not on the Spanish bench after failing to force the game against Morocco.
A highly questionable game for what it involves: against the African national team, players gave more than a thousand passes to hit just two shots on goal in 120 minutes. However, there are those who go further and do not think a replacement on the bench in La Roja is adequate.
Pedrol Laughs at Gotta Jordi
There are staunch defenders of Luis Enrique. One of them is Gutta Jordi. The commentator for “El Chiringuito” has always been very supportive of the former team. But sometimes he is mistaken for an absolute fanatic, and proof of that is what happened in the program presented by Josep Pedrol last Thursday, December 8th. Pedrerol couldn’t contain his laughter:
“We have to thank Luis Enrique (referring to Paco García Caridad, who went against Asturiano). You already got what you wanted, which is to kick him out. It’s worth continuing. And we have to thank him because when Spain wins, the titles will be his because he laid the foundations”.
Pedrerol’s response to this new nonsense from Jota Jordi was nothing but laughter. Pedrol later added: “You don’t believe what you’re saying, Jutta.” Jota defended himself: “He laid the foundations for this generation, which went on to compete with 18-year-olds like Ansu, Badri, Javi, Balde… They are the ones who will give Spain titles.”
Pedrol, who was surprised by Jota Jordi’s argument, asked if “success was also Xavi’s at that time”. Of course, Jota, a Barcelona fan, replied that “Xavi was also successful”.
